Diagnosis for the future development of the Integrated Strategic Plan San Pedro 2050
The Strategic Integrated Development Plan for San Pedro 2050 seeks to foster coordination between local and regional policies and serves as a basis for modernising the municipality's planning system. In this way, San Pedro is better positioned to update its Land Use Plan and Urban Planning codes.
During 2023, the first stage in view of the development of the Comprehensive Strategic Plan was carried out. To this end, four key inputs were achieved:
The Diagnosis of the city was elaborated, together with neighbours and institutions through participatory workshops.
A participatory project was developed for the creation of an Agro-industrial Park in the municipality, carried out with neighbours, producers and related institutions.
A Geographic Information System (GIS) database was created with information on water and sewage, flood areas, urban growth and open data. These indicators have been handed to the municipality for use in future operations.
Finally, the municipality's urban regulations were reviewed and need to be updated, in addition to elements that can be addressed by the zoning code. The elaboration of an Urban Code, its coordination with other ordinances and its linkage with territorial management instruments were proposed.
